 I call this pattern 'fingerprinting'. It is a series of painted or drawn lines that are parallel to one another; but without having any straight lines or definitive angles to create an optical mixture. It has many applications (clothes, accessories, fabrics, interior design, etc.) and can be done in several, two or three color combinations. Here are some hand painted examples.
